Many clients write their own marketing copy. Or their own business reports, or presentations. Even speeches, and articles. Books too. Yet professionals recognise that, however well they’re equipped to write about their business, or their subject, a good editor crafts dazzling jewels from diamonds in the rough.

I enjoy editing most of all. Polishing a sentence so it shines, clarifying a construction, adapting a word or phrase here and there to sing out and pull people in: this I find very satisfying. And yes, of course I correct spelling, grammar and punctuation along the way.
