Dea Parkin occasionally works as a freelance journalist and over the years
has had numerous articles and stories published in Furnishing (trade press),
as well as one or two pieces in Lancashire Magazine and elsewhere.
This has occasionally been of benefit to client companies; for example when they
have been promoting a product relevant to the feature, or have had something
pertinent to say on an issue being discussed.
However, Dea’s journalism has been an asset to our clients in another important
way: learning what a journalist needs from the other side of the fence, and being
able to put this into practice on behalf of PR client companies.
Dea is pleased to accept commissions. Her areas of expertise are:
• the furniture and furnishings
industry
• tennis; the game, the professional
tour and local clubs
• history, especially sixteenth
century (Dea has a BA degree in History)
• literature and drama
• the environment; nature and
conservation |
