Dea Parkin works as a freelance journalist and is a regular contributor to Action Network magazine. Articles are on a wide variety of subject; engineering, social and educational issues, careers – and history. Recent articles have included women in engineering, Amy Johnson, Stephen Hawking, the Pony Express and the Big Bang science fair.

In the past, she has also contributed articles to trade titles in the furnishing industry, including retailer profiles, and pieces in regional press.

Occasionally this has been of benefit to client companies, for example when they’ve been able to make a pertinent comment or supply a case study.

However, Dea’s journalism has been an asset to our clients in another important way: understanding exactly what a journalist needs from the other side of the fence, and being able to put this into practice on behalf of PR client companies.
